Lorain: The Puerto Rican Home Club celebrated its 50th year anniversary with a highly successful weekend festival, Aug. 10-12, 2007, according to OCHLA Commissioner Richard Romero.

According to Romero, "the Club has been planning this celebration for some time now."

Current Officers of the Club are: José "Mon" Rivera (Pres.), Juan "Berto" Silva (Vice Pres.), Rosie Reyes (Treasurer), Evelyn Vázquez (Secretary), and Nelson Rosas (Chair of Activities); Counselors include: Luis "Lilo" Salva and William Visalden; Sergeant at Arms are: Raúl García, Gilberto Vásquez, and Armando Rivera. Vocal Trustees include: Milton Velásquez, Pedro Velásquez, and Armando Rivera.
